Infotainment systems have been standard on most vehicles for a while now. I think we can all agree that the majority of the stock interfaces are not very clean looking or user friendly.
Back in 2014, Apple CarPlay was introduced. A year later, Google rolled out Android Auto. Both of these interfaces allow us to sync our devices with our infotainment systems. So which is better, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?
Both systems do a great job mirroring our phones on the vehicle’s display while streamlining the functionality so that it’s safe and easy to use while driving. Most would agree that Google Maps is a better choice for navigation over Apple Maps, but that has been integrated on CarPlay with recent updates.
Ultimately, it’s going to come down to personal preference when it comes to your smartphone. If you prefer the simplicity of iOS and you own an Apple device, then you’ll prefer CarPlay. If you prefer Android, then Android Auto is an obvious choice. BOTH systems provide the same levels of simplicity and functionality.
Which do you prefer? Let us know in the comment section below. Do you own an Android device but prefer Apple CarPlay, or vice versa? $1,000 would sure help cover the cost of a new smartphone! Follow this link to enter to win! https://idrivefast.com/sweepstakes/
